Light & Shadow ~ Watercolor Retreat

Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer.  Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you.  Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.  Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.”   John 12:35-37
with  Kim Le Nguyen MS-AT

Join us in discerning how to get out of the shadow and live in the light as God’s children.  Learn to paint watercolor with intentions of creating and transforming dark, light and in-between with textures and colors.  Improve your watercolor techniques as well as practice them in order to develop your spiritual life.  This workshop will focus on praying, reflecting and painting during dark nights of the soul as well as times when we are enjoying the presence of God.  Participants will have the option to have their artwork interpreted by the facilitator.

Living the Call: Living the Eucharist
with Fr. Daniel O’Connell

On the Lord’s Day, Christ gathers the Church at the Celebration of the Eucharist to nourish us by His Word and by the Sacrament of His Body and Blood.  By these means, He allows us to share more fully in His own life so that, in daily life, we can work with Him to build a civilization of love in this world.  We cannot build that civilization unless we have experienced it at the Eucharist. This requires that we be people of prayer who come to the Eucharist prepared to hear, not only Christ speaking about the Kingdom, but ready to hear His call and respond.

Praying with Life’s Transitions
with Beatrice Ste. Marie, SSND

Life is full of changes!  Transitions come, welcomed or not!  Some transitions shake us to the core of our very being.  Some come as exciting challenges.  Both can be blessings.  They might however, cause one to ponder – Where is the God I knew?  Who is the God I need at this time?  Prayer itself seems to change.  How do I stay connected to (pray to / pray with) the God who also seems to be changing during these transitions?  Come to the shore and be refreshed by the sea in all its splendor and by its Creator; the God who created us all and journeys with us in every transition.  Come and pray with your own particular transition at this time of your life.

Arrival: Friday at 4:00 PM.  Supper served at 5:30 ~ Program begins at 7:00 PM and concludes with noon meal on Sunday.
Cost:  $220.00 for private room,  $200.00 for shared room.
