Gazing into Your Loveliness ~ Watercolor Retreat
with
Kim Le Nguyen MS-AT

The early Church Fathers described the purpose of religious images as “leading one upward.”  They wrote  that  this art should raise the soul and  mind of  the  beholder to the realm of the Spirit. This retreat will  be based  on the book,  Meditations  on Vatican Art  by Fr. Mark Haydu, which allows you to deepen your relationship with God by reflecting on several religious artworks.  Each participant will be provided with copies of these religious images and handouts for reflection.  The facilitator will demonstrate watercolor expressive techniques and teach how to incorporate art into one’s spiritual life.

* A list of needed supplies will be provided at the time of registration.

Arrival is at 4:00 PM.  Supper served at 5:30 ~
Program begins at 7:00 PM and ends with noon meal on the last day.
Cost:  Fri – Sun $245.00 for private room,  $225.00 for shared room.

NOVEMBER 9 – 11, 2018
Life in the Paschal Mystery
with
Fr. Daniel O’Connell

The Gospel of Mark can be understood as a real call to conversion.  It invites us to look at conversion as part of everyday life.  It is the simplest of the four Gospels and centers on Jesus’ life, death, resurrection, as well as the meaning of suffering and the miracle of rising above it.  In Mark, we are invited to discover the meaning of life and death as He did by radical trust in God and by loving service to others’ needs.  This retreat will assist us in understanding the gift of trust as the heart of true discipleship.

Arrival: Friday at 4:00 PM.  Supper served at 5:30 ~ Program begins at 7:00 PM and concludes with noon meal on Sunday.
Cost:  $230.00 for private room, $210.00 for shared room.

32nd  Annual Rivier Retreat ~ Our Vocation to Joy
Rejoicing in the Lord must be your strength!  Neh. 8:10
with
Marie May Lausier, p.m. and a Team of Rivier Associates

Rejoice in the Lord always!  Again, I say rejoice!  St. Paul never wearies of repeating, that holy joy is a chief Christian duty at all times, and under all conditions.  This is our call!  An Advent call!  Now is an excellent time to seek out the source and foundation of our joy as given in Scripture, as seen in the lives of the Saints and in ours.  We will pursue the Holy Spirit to release His joy in our hearts and learn how to keep it, to exercise it in our daily life until it bubbles within us and transforms us into walking advertisements and living witnesses of joy in the Lord, as our beloved Mother Rivier was!

This program is open to Marie Rivier Associates and to those who have made the Rivier Retreat.

Arrival: Friday at 4:00 PM.  Supper served at 5:30 ~ Program begins at 7:00 PM and concludes with noon meal on Sunday.
Cost:  $205.00 for private room,  $185.00 for shared room

A Time to Mourn, A Time to Dance
